Working with leading Australian architects and designers, premier timber flooring and panelling company, Tongue n Groove, required a showroom with impeccable surface appeal to demonstrate the quality and craftsmanship of its offerings.

Residing as a store within a store (aptly, leading international furniture outlet Living Edge’s new two-storey showroom and function space in Brisbane), it enlisted Élan’s seamless wood construction and joinery skills.

A solid square timber tunnel comprising a continuous spectrum of natural and stained solid Oak boards, both underfoot and cladding the walls and ceiling, form an inviting and intriguing entrance to the store. Once inside, the floorplan forms a T-junction with laid strips of timber ranging from toffee browns to liquorice black darting off in perfectly aligned rows that continue up the walls and overhead with optical precision.

Other all-enveloping feature walls are entirely clad in angled and parquetry patterns in a variety of palettes, further demonstrating the company’s finesse and expertise in flooring solutions.
