The BVN Sydney studio is a dramatic reworking of a typical 1970s commercial office floor. The brief was to create a modern ‘deconstructed’ working space in keeping with the architectural practice’s forward-thinking direction and to encourage collaborative working styles.

Ceiling, floor and wall surfaces were stripped away to reveal the ‘bones’ of the original building. This industrial aesthetic is balanced by a timber ‘verandah’ running the length of the building, and flexible meeting spaces created by floor-to-ceiling sliding panels.
